This Privacy Policy describes how Customer Daily - CRM & Task Manager ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (version 1.0).

Privacy First: Customer Daily is designed with your privacy as a top priority. All your customer data, tasks, and notes are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, access, or transmit your customer information to any servers.

Information Collection and Use

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to external servers:

Customer Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, company names, notes, and interaction history you create
Task Data: Your tasks, reminders, priorities, due dates, and completion status
Interaction Logs: Records of customer interactions you manually log
App Settings: Your preferences including theme, notifications, security settings, and app lock PIN
Statistics: Locally calculated statistics about your tasks and customers

Data We May Collect (Anonymous Only)

We may collect limited anonymous data to improve the app:

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version (no unique identifiers)
Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs to help us fix bugs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
Usage Analytics: Anonymous app usage patterns (which features are used, app performance) via Firebase Analytics

Important: Analytics and crash reporting are opt-in and can be disabled in app settings.

We display ads to support free app development:

What it collects: Anonymous advertising identifiers, device information
What it does NOT collect: Your customer data or task information

Permissions Explained

Customer Daily requests the following permissions:

Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Optional - Only used if you choose to import contacts. We never upload your contacts anywhere.
Phone (CALL_PHONE): Optional - Allows quick calling of customers directly from the app. You control when calls are made.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Optional - For task reminders you schedule. Can be disabled anytime.
Internet: Required - For displaying ads and sending anonymous analytics (if enabled).
Vibration: For notification alerts and haptic feedback.
Biometric (USE_BIOMETRIC): Optional - For fingerprint/face unlock to secure your data locally.

Note: All permissions are requested only when needed and can be revoked in your device settings.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

All customer and task data is stored in an encrypted local database (Realm)
Data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
Optional app lock with PIN or biometric authentication
Auto-lock feature to protect data when app is in background

Data Security Measures

Encryption: Local database is encrypted at rest
App Lock: Optional PIN or biometric authentication
No Cloud Storage: Your data stays on your device
Secure Communications: Any analytics data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS

Data Backup and Export

Local Backup

You control your data backups:

Android Backup: May be included in your device's automatic backup (encrypted)
Manual Export: You can export your data to CSV/JSON files anytime via app settings
Import: You can import previously exported data

You own your data:

Export customer list to CSV
Export task list to CSV
Export interaction logs to JSON
All exports are encrypted and stored locally

Children's Privacy

Customer Daily is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

User Control & Opt-Out Options

Disable Analytics & Crashlytics

To disable anonymous analytics:

Open Customer Daily
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security
Toggle off "Share Anonymous Analytics"

Opt-Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt-out of personalized advertising:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Or visit: Google Ad Settings
Generic (non-personalized) ads will still be shown to support the free app

Disable Notifications

To turn off all notifications:

In-app: Settings → Notifications → Disable All
Device: Android Settings → Apps → Customer Daily → Notifications → Off

Data Retention

Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics retained by Firebase for 14 months
Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days to help fix bugs
Ad Data: Managed by Google AdMob according to their retention policy (typically 24 months)

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data at any time:

Individual Records: Delete specific customers or tasks within the app
All App Data: Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data
Complete Removal: Uninstall the app from your device

Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:

Access: View all data stored in the app (all data is visible in the app interface)
Rectification: Edit or correct any information in the app
Deletion: Delete individual records or all app data
Portability: Export your data to CSV/JSON format
Opt-Out: Disable analytics, crashlytics, and personalized ads
Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions at any time in device settings

International Data Transfers

Your customer and task data never leaves your device. Anonymous analytics data may be processed by Firebase/Google servers located globally:

Google complies with EU-U.S. and UK-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks
Data transfers use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
You can opt-out of analytics collection entirely

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via:

Updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
