Privacy Policy for Solo CRM (iOS)

This Privacy Policy describes how Solo CRM - Client & Task Manager ("Solo CRM", "we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our iOS application. Solo CRM is designed to be private by default.

🔒 The Short Version: Solo CRM does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. There are no third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no user account. Everything you enter — clients, tasks, notes — is stored on your iPhone or iPad and stays there unless you choose to export it.

What we collect from you: Nothing automatically. No analytics. No crash reports sent to third parties. No advertising identifiers.
What you create stays where: On your device only.
Third parties involved: Apple (for App Store subscriptions, controlled by Apple). That's it.

1. Information You Provide

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad only using iOS's encrypted on-device storage. It is never transmitted to our servers, because we do not operate any servers that receive it.

Client Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, company names, notes, and any custom fields you fill in
Tasks & Reminders: Tasks, due dates, priorities, completion status, recurring schedules
Interaction Logs: Records of calls, meetings, or messages you manually log against a client
App Settings: Your preferences (theme, app lock PIN, notification choices)
Tags & Categories: Custom organizational labels you create

📱 iOS-Specific Storage: All data is stored in an iOS-encrypted local database, sandboxed within the Solo CRM app. Sensitive items (such as your app-lock PIN) are stored in the iOS Keychain. iOS's hardware-backed encryption protects this data when your device is locked.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Solo CRM v1.2 is built to collect as close to zero data as possible. Specifically, the app does not collect or transmit any of the following:

❌ Analytics (no Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar)
❌ Crash reports to third parties (no Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag)
❌ Advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no App Tracking Transparency request — because we don't track)
❌ Your client data — your contacts, notes, and tasks never leave your device unless you explicitly export them
❌ Account information — Solo CRM does not require sign-up, email, or any account
❌ Location data
❌ Device fingerprints or unique identifiers

3. iOS Permissions

Solo CRM may request the following iOS permissions. Each is optional and the app works without granting them:

Contacts (optional) — used only when you tap "Import from Contacts" to bring existing iPhone contacts into Solo CRM. Imported entries are stored locally just like any client you'd add manually. No data is sent off-device.
Notifications (optional) — used to remind you about upcoming tasks. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS.
Face ID / Touch ID (optional) — used to unlock the app if you enable App Lock. Biometric data never leaves your device; iOS only tells the app whether authentication succeeded.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Solo CRM offers an optional Premium subscription via Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system:

All payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your credit card or billing information.
Apple sends us only a transaction receipt indicating that you have an active subscription. We use this to unlock Premium features in the app.
Subscription terms (auto-renewal, cancellation) are governed by your Apple ID. Manage your subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

5. Data Sharing and Backups

Solo CRM does not automatically sync, share, or back up your data anywhere. If you want a backup, you must initiate it yourself:

Manual Export: The app can produce an export file containing your clients, tasks, and notes. You choose what to do with this file — share it via iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email, or any iOS share sheet target. The destination is entirely your choice.
iCloud Drive: If you save an export to iCloud Drive, it is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy practices. Solo CRM does not have access to your iCloud account; iOS handles the file transfer.

We do not operate any cloud servers that receive your client data. There is no "Solo CRM cloud."

6. Children's Privacy

Solo CRM is rated 12+ on the App Store and is intended for adult business use. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age, beyond what you choose to enter as a user.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because Solo CRM does not collect or process your personal data, most data subject rights under GDPR and CCPA apply trivially:

Right to access: All your data is on your device, accessible at any time inside the app.
Right to deletion: Delete clients, tasks, or the entire app from your device — your data is gone.
Right to portability: Use the in-app Export feature to take your data with you in an open format.
Right to opt out of sale: We do not sell data; nothing to opt out of.

8. Security

Your client data is protected by:

iOS's hardware-backed encryption when your device is locked
App-level encrypted database (Realm with iOS encryption)
Optional in-app PIN or Face ID / Touch ID lock
iOS sandboxing — other apps on your device cannot read Solo CRM's data

We cannot recover lost data on your behalf because we do not have a copy. If your device is lost or wiped without a backup you've made, your Solo CRM data cannot be restored. Please make periodic exports.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change how Solo CRM handles data — for example, adding an optional cloud-sync feature in a future version — we will update this Privacy Policy and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will surface a notice within the app on your next launch.
