This Privacy Policy describes how Customer Daily - CRM & Clients ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS mobile application.

🔒 Privacy First: Customer Daily is designed with your privacy as a top priority. All your customer data, tasks, and notes are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We do not collect, access, or transmit your customer information to any servers.

Information Collection and Use

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone/iPad only and is never transmitted to external servers:

Customer Information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, company names, notes, photos, and interaction history you create
Task Data: Your tasks, reminders, priorities, due dates, completion status, and recurring patterns
Interaction Logs: Records of customer interactions you manually log (calls, meetings, emails, messages)
App Settings: Your preferences including theme (Light/Dark), notifications, security settings, and app lock PIN
Statistics: Locally calculated statistics about your tasks and customers (completion rates, contact frequency, etc.)
Tags & Categories: Custom tags and categories you create for organizing customers

📱 iOS-Specific Storage: All data is stored using iOS's secure Realm database with built-in encryption. Data is sandboxed within the app and protected by iOS security features including Keychain for sensitive data and FileVault encryption.

Data We May Collect (Anonymous Only)

With your explicit consent, we may collect limited anonymous data to improve the app:

Device Information: Device model (e.g., iPhone 16 Pro), iOS version, app version (no unique identifiers)
Crash Reports: Anonymous crash logs to help us fix bugs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
Usage Analytics: Anonymous app usage patterns (which features are used, app performance) via Firebase Analytics

Important: Analytics and crash reporting are opt-in and can be disabled in app settings. We respect iOS's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.

We use Firebase services to understand app performance and fix crashes:

🍎 App Tracking Transparency (ATT): In compliance with iOS 14.5+ requirements, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for personalized advertising. You can deny this permission and still use all app features.

StoreKit (In-App Purchases)

For premium subscriptions:

What Apple collects: Purchase information, subscription status, transaction receipts
What we collect: Only subscription status (active/inactive) to enable premium features
Payment processing: Handled entirely by Apple, we never see your payment information

iOS Permissions Explained

Customer Daily requests the following iOS permissions:

Contacts: Optional - Only used if you choose to import contacts. We never upload your contacts anywhere. You control which contacts to import.
Phone: Optional - Allows quick calling of customers directly from the app using tel:// URLs. You control when calls are made.
Notifications: Optional - For task reminders you schedule. Can be disabled anytime in iOS Settings or app settings.
Face ID / Touch ID: Optional - For biometric authentication to secure your data locally. Authentication data never leaves your device.
Photo Library: Optional - To add customer profile photos. Photos are stored locally in the app's encrypted database.
Camera: Optional - To take customer profile photos directly. Images are stored locally only.
App Tracking: Optional - For personalized advertising (ATT requirement). Can be denied without affecting app functionality.

Note: All permissions are requested only when needed and can be revoked in iOS Settings → Customer Daily.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

All customer and task data is stored in an encrypted local database (Realm)
Data is protected by iOS sandboxing and encryption
Sensitive data (PIN, app lock) stored in iOS Keychain
Data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
Optional app lock with PIN or Face ID/Touch ID authentication
Auto-lock feature to protect data when app is in background

Data Security Measures

AES-256 Encryption: Local database is encrypted at rest
iOS Keychain: Secure storage for PIN and authentication tokens
Biometric Authentication: Face ID or Touch ID for quick secure access
App Sandbox: Data isolated from other apps by iOS security
No Cloud Storage: Your data stays on your device

Data Backup and Export

iCloud Backup

You control your data backups:

iCloud Backup: May be included in your device's automatic iCloud backup (encrypted)
Manual Export: You can export your data to CSV files anytime via app settings
Encrypted Backup: You can create encrypted ZIP backups stored locally
Import/Restore: You can restore from previously exported backups

☁️ iCloud Backup: If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, your Customer Daily data may be included in automatic backups. This is controlled in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup. iCloud backups are end-to-end encrypted by Apple.

Data Portability

You own your data:

Export customer list to CSV (Excel compatible)
Export task list to CSV
Export interaction logs to JSON
Full encrypted backup to ZIP
All exports can be shared via iOS Share Sheet

Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are handled through Apple's In-App Purchase system:

Available Plans: Monthly ($2.99/month), Yearly ($24.99/year)
Payment: Charged to your iTunes Account
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled 24 hours before period end
Manage Subscription: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
Cancellation: Cancel anytime, access continues until period end
Family Sharing: Premium subscription can be shared with family members via Apple Family Sharing
Terms: Apple's Standard EULA

Children's Privacy

Customer Daily is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

User Control & Opt-Out Options

Disable Analytics & Crashlytics

To disable anonymous analytics:

Open Customer Daily
Tap Settings → Privacy & Security
Toggle off "Share Anonymous Analytics"

Deny App Tracking (ATT)

To deny tracking for personalized ads:

When prompted: Tap "Ask App Not to Track"
After accepting: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Customer Daily → Off
Generic (non-personalized) ads will still be shown in the free version
Upgrade to Premium: For completely ad-free experience

Disable Notifications

To turn off all notifications:

In-app: Settings → Notifications → Disable All
iOS Settings: Settings → Notifications → Customer Daily → Allow Notifications → Off

Revoke Permissions

To revoke previously granted permissions:

Go to iOS Settings → Customer Daily
Toggle off: Contacts, Camera, Photos, Face ID, Notifications, etc.

Data Retention

Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
iCloud Backup: Retained according to your iCloud storage settings
Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics retained by Firebase for 14 months
Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days to help fix bugs
Ad Data: Managed by Google AdMob according to their retention policy (typically 24 months)
Subscription Data: Purchase history retained by Apple according to their policies

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data at any time:

Individual Records: Swipe to delete specific customers or tasks within the app
Archive Customers: Archive inactive customers instead of deleting
All App Data: Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data
Complete Removal: Delete the app from your iPhone (long-press app icon → Remove App)
iCloud Backup Data: Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups → [This Device] → Show All Apps → Customer Daily → Delete Data

Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:

Access: View all data stored in the app (all data is visible in the app interface)
Rectification: Edit or correct any information in the app
Deletion: Delete individual records or all app data
Portability: Export your data to CSV/JSON format
Opt-Out: Disable analytics, crashlytics, and tracking
Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings
Object to Processing: Deny tracking permission via ATT

International Data Transfers

Your customer and task data never leaves your device. Anonymous analytics data (if opted-in) may be processed by Firebase/Google servers located globally:

Google complies with EU-U.S. and UK-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks
Data transfers use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
You can opt-out of analytics collection entirely

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via:

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
