Privacy Policy – VermieterPro (iOS)

This Privacy Policy describes how VermieterPro ("the App", "we") handles your data when you use our iOS application. VermieterPro stores all your landlord data locally on your device — we do not operate servers that receive your tenant data.

Summary: VermieterPro for iOS is a subscription-only model (no free tier with ads). All tenant, rent, and utility cost data is stored exclusively on your iPhone/iPad (Realm database, local). There is no cloud synchronisation, no advertisements, and no account creation required.

What we collect from you: Nothing. All data remains locally on your device.
Where your data lives: Exclusively on your device (Realm database, local).
Third parties involved: Apple (App Store purchases / subscriptions).
No account, no ads, no cloud backup.

1. Data You Enter (Stored Locally)

The following data is stored exclusively locally on your iPhone or iPad in the app's Realm database. It is never transmitted to our servers because we do not operate servers that receive your tenant data.

Properties: Address, type, number of units, notes
Tenants: Name, contact details, lease start/end date, security deposit amount
Rent Payments: Amount, due date, payment status
Utility Cost Billing: Consumption values, cost items, billing period
Expenses & Documents: Repairs, costs, notes
App Settings: Theme, language, notifications, security options

iOS Storage: All data is stored in a Realm database within the app's protected directory. iOS hardware encryption protects this data when the device is locked. No iCloud synchronisation takes place.

2. Subscriptions and Payments (StoreKit / App Store)

VermieterPro offers optional subscriptions through Apple's App Store system (StoreKit 2):

Pro Monthly — auto-renewing subscription (price as listed in the App Store)
Pro Yearly — auto-renewing subscription (price as listed in the App Store)

All payments are processed exclusively by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store any credit card or banking details. Apple only sends us a transaction receipt to unlock Pro features. Subscription entitlement is verified locally via StoreKit 2 on your device — no account required.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage or cancel: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. For more information: Apple's Privacy Policy.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

Your landlord data (tenants, rents, utility bills) never leaves your device
No account information — VermieterPro requires neither registration nor an email address
No precise location (GPS)
No contacts, camera, or microphone
No crash reports or analytics SDKs (no Firebase/Crashlytics on iOS)
No advertisements — VermieterPro for iOS contains no ads

4. iOS Permissions

Notifications (optional) — for local reminders (e.g. rent payment due dates). Notifications are scheduled locally by iOS. No notification content is transmitted to our servers.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third parties:

Apple — processes payments via the App Store in-app purchase system (Section 2).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your landlord or tenant data with any third party.

6. Your Choices

Notifications: Disable app notifications at any time under Settings > Notifications > VermieterPro.
Delete data: Uninstall the app to permanently remove all locally stored data.

7. Children's Privacy

VermieterPro is intended for adult landlords and property managers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. Since the app requires no account, no personal data from users of any age is directly collected.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): All your landlord data is stored locally on your device and can be viewed at any time within the app.
Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): Uninstall the app to permanently delete all locally stored data.
Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Use the app's export function to export your data in an open format.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

In the event of material changes (e.g. adding cloud synchronisation), we will update this document and the "Last updated" date. For material changes, a notice will be displayed the next time the app is launched.
