Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see any BLE devices?

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your device settings. Bluelyze requires Bluetooth permission to scan for nearby devices. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Bluetooth and ensure Bluelyze has permission. Note: BLE scanning does not work in the iOS Simulator.

Why does the app ask for location permission?

On some iOS versions, Apple requires location permission for BLE scanning. Bluelyze does not track, store, or transmit your location. This is solely an Apple system requirement for Bluetooth access.

Can I connect to multiple devices at once?

Yes! Bluelyze supports up to 4 simultaneous BLE connections. Tap the Connect button on any device detail screen to establish a connection.

How do I export scan data?

You can export advertisement logs and device data as CSV or JSON. Open the scan list or advertisement log and tap the export button. The file will be shared through the iOS share sheet.

What is the Webhook Push feature?

Cloud Webhook Push sends BLE characteristic data to any HTTP endpoint you configure. Go to Settings > Webhook Notifications to set up your endpoint URL. This is useful for IoT dashboards, home automation, and cloud pipelines.

What is the Peripheral Emitter?

The Emitter tab turns your iPhone into a BLE peripheral. You can broadcast custom GATT services and characteristics — useful for testing BLE apps, SDKs, or hardware integrations.

How do I remove ads?

Bluelyze is currently ad-supported with no premium tier. We may introduce an ad-free option in the future.
